After the interruption due to COVID-19, on the 22nd of June 2020 the training of the high school security officers and psychologists resumed. The first group were they from the high schools of districts Fier, Vlorë and Gjirokastër. This training which is an outcome of the cooperation among the Ministry of Education and Sports, Ministry of Interior, State Police and the Swedish Programme, aims at extending the awareness raising programmes on such topics as drugs abuse, alcohol, road traffic rules, bullying, cyber-crime, violence etc to the high schools of Albania. In the training of 22-23 June 2020 in Fier, 20 security officers and psychologists of the high schools participated. The 2-day training program was multidisciplinary and comprised following topics such as enhancing capacity building on public speaking skills to different age groups, enhancing presentation skills practicing interviewing and debating skills, planning and preparing presentations, communication with the public, audience management and introduction with the awareness topics divided into three campaigns: the risks of abuse with harmful substances like alcohol, tobacco and marijuana; road safety, personal safety that involves bullying, internet safety etc. Training was very interactive and experiences and practices in presenting these topics were exchanged among the Trainees. At the end, participants were provided with literature and supporting materials as well as slides and videos that were produced for this purpose to be efficiently utilized in classes during school year 2020-2021 and following.
