Following the support for the ASP to meet the priority set by the government for increasing the road safety, the SCPA program is working to develop a software that would enable the operation of radars in to better to interact with the “e-fines” police system’s interface.
This commitment comes in response to the request submitted last year by the traffic police directorate to make as functional as possible the radars and their respective accessories donated by SCPA.
For this purpose, the program set up a technical working group with representatives from the traffic police directorate, specialists from the Technology and Information sector in the ASP HQ, as well as programming experts in the field of IT, who have worked intensively for developing the required software.
This software will be used by the traffic police on the radars to check in real time in the Police system cars, drivers, fines, traffic violations etc.
After several months of work, on May 9, 2002, the concrete presentation of the software took place in the ASP HQ meeting room in the presence of experts of the Traffic Police Directorate, headed by Mr. Altin Qato, Director. The event was also attended were the SCPA tream Leader, Mr. Ansi Shundi, and the IT expert team who were iunvolved in the software development. The software is expected to be operational by the beginning of next month.
